Photography Assignment #1

Morphet at the Wye Marsh

For the Week ending July 10th.

I’m going to try to publish one a week ’til the end of the Summer. Each one will be posted here Sunday evening. The best image(s) will be posted at the same time. The Assignments will be themes. It will allow you to get creative.

Some Rules:

  1. Anyone can enter. 🙂
  2. There are no prizes. (Maybe we’ll all go to DQ for a Blizzard end of August 😉 )
  3. The images must be original and you must allow me to use the images for the purpose of this blog or my class.
  4. I’m doing this to keep us all capturing images over the Summer, so the images must be captured (sic) during this Summer.
  5. Post processing is at your discretion. However, no clone stamping allowed. Watch the contents of the frame!
  6. I’d like us all to comment. This is your blog. Constructive critique only please.
  7. Submit a jpg image to morphetography@gmail.com by midnight Saturday to enter the image for judging.
  8. If no one submits for a couple of weeks in a row, I reserve the right to stop.
  9. You do not need to participate every week.
  10. If I think of any other rules, I will add them.
Let’s have fun with this. Invite others to participate if they wish.

Is there a restriction on how many images we can upload for this one assignment? Or should we just chose one we really enjoy?

  2. How about no more than 2. Try to be objectuve with your self-critique. It’s tough but try to give us your best.
    Good Question.

what were you settings for the phot of the spider?

    • D300 with 150mm macro. I was about 20″ away. 1/400 @ f/3.5 (should have HDR’d it, the spider is blown out a bit) very cool moment. Walking by and noticed a white spot. I giggled like a little kid the whole time. :O
