So here you go. . .

Hope you are enjoying a bit of a break. Here are your marks. Thanks to all for an excellent semester 1.

The last 4 digits of your student number, then the mark you earned. (Remember your login ID is the last 3 digits plus a 0, or sometimes a 1)

You get your report cards in a couple of weeks.

The comments that I give on the report cards are the worst bit of canned ‘edu-speak’ you’ll ever read. Sorry about that. If you or your parents don’t already know what I have to say about your performance this semester, call me at the school (705 526 7817) and leave a message. I will get back to you within 24hrs. Report card comments are so impersonal. Blech.

As always, you guys are the best.

Posted tomorrow For sure, most likely, maybe, hope so 🙂

Betcha' can't wait!

Semester 1 POTY

A few more for Dakota. Quality, diversity in style, technique and execution. Editing mastery. The whole package. Who says teenagers can’t?

Not me.

Donkey Kong

Dakota King combines much of the creativity of Michelle with the focus of Dana and then adds her own special blend of OCD driven perfectionism. It creates a potent and highly combustible mixture.

She’ll work and work, exhausting everyone around her, then walk away. Not happy with the results. Then she’ll come back to it and work an idea again until she gets ‘it’.

She’s a bit crazy, I think.

But I can’t argue with the quality of the results:

Incredible. Some of this is almost disturbing. Really interpreting and capturing your theme.

One to watch.

Semester One Photographer of the Year

Congratulations 🙂

Dana, most likely to be. . .

. . .a fashion photographer!

Maybe not as outright creative as Michelle, but so focused. She knows what she is trying to achieve with her images and works hard until she gets it.

Such a developed style. The fashion industry awaits. . .

This is so good Dana. I don’t even think you know how good it is. There are a lot of ‘pros’ hoping you take up bricklaying or something.

A bit more about Michelle

Michelle is one of the most creative people I know. She has an exceptional work ethic and is a very quick study. She works a setup until she masters it and she nailed clamshell lighting.

Check out this portfolio:

Just exceptional work Michelle.

And then there were three.

I enjoyed an exceptional crop of photographers this semester. My grade 12 class was overall the best group of photographers I have ever had the pleasure of working with.

I had three that had something extra.

Let me introduce you to them:

Michelle Cruden

Dana Davis

Dakota King
